Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which officiant is right for me?

We have a variety of officiants of different backgrounds to give you variety in choosing. We suggest all couples meet with the officiant they feel is a good fit. If you don't feel as if they are the right fit for your special day, just let us know and we'll arrange a meeting with another officiant. We're also great at advising you on who would be a perfect fit if you're unsure.

How does your 100% No Cancellation Policy work?

The one vendor you cannot have a ceremony without is a wedding officiant! We keep one officiant on call every weekend with your vows. If something happens on your wedding day or prior, we'll assign another officiant to your ceremony so you don't have the stress of scrambling to find another officiant last minute.

Do I really need to have a rehearsal?

We suggest all couples have rehearsal with their officiant unless they're having just a simple civil ceremony. Your officiant can guide you through all the small details so photographers can get the best shots. Rehearsal is the time to make any last minute changes to ensure your ceremony is flawless. Couples only get one shot at the ceremony with no do-overs.

What if we are already married but want a true ceremony now?

We refer to this as a symbolic ceremony. Your officiant will do everything for a legal ceremony minus signing a wedding license. If you don't want your guests to know this, just remind your officiant so they can keep it a secret.

When will my officiant show up on the day of the ceremony?

Your officiant will show up 15-20 minutes prior to your ceremony start time. They'll check with the groom and wedding coordinator to confirm everything is ready. We charge onsite late fees if your ceremony doesn't start at your contracted start time.

What if my ceremony runs late?

We recommend ceremonies start on time. If your ceremony runs late, it may create conflicts with the officiant's schedule for other couples. We'll dispatch our on-call officiant if possible. Onsite late fees of $50 per 20 minutes will be charged.

Will my officiant need a microphone?

In most cases, your officiant will require a microphone. This can be acquired by your DJ or we have portable PA systems available for rent for $175. A hands-free mic (lapel or headset) is preferred. We can also provide a mic to plug into your DJ's equipment for $75.

When are vows due?

We'll send our 2-week check-in form about a month prior to your ceremony. This form records your vow choices, edits, and other details, and gathers emergency contacts and confirms all last minute ceremony plans.

If we want to write our own vows, how does that work?

We love when couples write heartfelt vows! We'll simply insert an introduction to each person's vows. We don't need your vows beforehand—just bring them on your wedding day!

Why do we pay extra for rituals?

Rituals are add-ons to traditional vows, and your officiant must prepare for them. You're responsible for providing materials since it's your keepsake. Most rituals require rehearsing, so we recommend a rehearsal when adding rituals.

Will my officiant stay for reception?

In most cases your officiant will not stay for the reception but may at their discretion if you invite them.

When is my payment due and how do I pay?

Payments are due 30 days prior to your ceremony and can be paid online. We also offer payment plans. Late fees of $25 initial plus $5/day will be applied if payment is late.

What's included in Day of Coordination?

Day of Coordination is available for $250. We send a wedding planner or officiant 45 minutes prior to organize your wedding party, cue your DJ, and coordinate with ceremony vendors for a flawless ceremony. This helps the bride focus on looking amazing for her walk down the aisle.

Do I need witnesses?

Texas does not require witnesses, though some wedding licenses still have a space on the license for witnesses to sign if you'd like.

How is the license filed and when will I get a copy?

Texas requires your officiant to sign the license and file with the county clerk's office, which can take up to 30 days. Military or special circumstance couples can keep the license and physically take it into the county clerk themselves if pre-approved by your officiant.

Do travel fees apply?

Travel fees apply when an officiant must drive more than 20 miles. Within 75 miles: $1/mile. 75-150 miles: $75 plus $1/mile. Over 150 miles: $100/hour plus $1/mile. Overnight stays are the couple's responsibility at 3-star or above with $50/day per diem.

Can officiants perform ceremonies in multiple languages?

Yes! We specialize in English and Spanish for $100. Both languages are incorporated to honor diverse cultural backgrounds and family traditions.

What are rituals and can they be added to a ceremony?

Rituals are add-ons to the ceremony showing a couple's unity. Officiants can do any ritual you want or create. Rituals are $75 per ritual, and you must provide all materials since it's your keepsake.
